CLASSIC BEATLES by Norman Parkinson
Very RARE, Vintage 1963 Original Photograph capturing The Beatles up-close as captured by famous British photographer, Norman Parkinson for Camera Press of London. The photo is a RARE, period doubleweight LARGE-format photograph measuring 12" in width as made by Parkinson back in 1963 (in other words, this is a vintage specimen). It was taken during Parkinson's well known photo session with the Boys from Liverpool at the time their fame was spreading globally. Parkinson shot the group with their heads "stuck" together from the neck up to give his viewers a close-up of the "Mop Tops".

Norman Parkinson (1913-1990) was one of the twentieth century's best-known fashion photographers. He was active for over 50 years and was instrumental in taking portrait and fashion photography beyond the stiff formality of his predecessors and injecting an easy and casual elegance into his images. The offered photo has some editorial news inks (which can be removed if desired) and has some handling wear as the photo was used in newsprint publication as part of a working library of press photos. It is however a bonafide true original and has the photo credits and press stamp on the reverse. A classic portrayal of the Beatles before their fame and fortune !
