1977 THE BEATLES PROMOTIONAL LIVE AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL LP GLASS BOWL

This is an original and very rare 1977 PROMOTIONAL ONLY glass bowl to celebrate the release of The Beatles ‘Live At The Hollywood Bowl' LP. These clear glass bowls were commissioned directly by Capitol Records who recorded the live concerts back in 1964 and 1965. The LP was released on the 6th May 1977 on Capitol Records in the USA and Parlophone Records in the UK.

At the official Capitol / Parlophone launch of the LP these bowls were used to contain peanuts and other similar snacks. The bowls were later distributed to employees of the two record companies. Exactly how many of these were produced remains a mystery but very, very few of these would have been manufactured. This was originally purchased from an ex EMI (Parlophone) employee who was present at the launch.

The bowl is made from very high quality, heavy glass. 'The Beatles At The Hollywood Bowl' is etched around the edge of the bowl using the same font design as appears on the LP cover. 'The Beatles At The Hollywood Bowl' and and the LP front cover logo (the Hollywood Bowl stage) are etched on the bottom of the bowl. All in great condition with NO damage such as chips or cracks. Just some very light scratches which are visible when held to the light. A magnificent central display piece for any Beatles collection.

The bowl measures approx 9" wide x 3.5" high. This will be packaged with numerous layers of protection for delivery across the world.
