An Extremely Scarce and Terrific1963 Vintage Original Photo of The Beatles taken by the Legendary Lensman DEZO Hoffman

John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr as captured by Dezo Hoffman, the band's 1st official photographer. EXTREMELY RARE because the offered gelatin-silver specimen is a true vintage "PERIOD" exemplar that was made at around the time the image was taken. The photograph is from the famous 1963 photo session where the Fab Four posed for Hoffman's lens in those unforgettable collarless Pierre Cardin suits. Many of the images from that photo shoot have become iconic. This one features the band with a toy stuffed donkey and was made by Hoffman for use to promote the up-and-coming band through various media outlets at the time.

The 7" x 9" photograph has been authenticated by PSA/DNA as a TYPE I, period 1st generation exemplar and has been encapsulated in PSA’s photograph holder. What is historically significant about this offered example is that this actual photograph was used in newsprint publication in February of 1964 when the Beatles 1st invaded America. The reverse has a FEB 9 1964 date stamp and a newspaper clipping actually made from the offered photograph that announces that these "Beatles" will be appearing on the Ed Sullivan Show that evening at 8 o'clock on KFRE-TV, 30. This is a TREMENDOUS photograph, not only is it a rare, desirable "vintage" exemplar from the band's legendary photographer but it was used to document the birth of "Beatlemania" and the British invasion in the United States !
