RARE 1963 MEMBERSHIP BOOKLET TO THE HISTORIC "CAVERN CLUB" IN LIVERPOOL DURING THE BRITISH ONSET OF BEATLEMANIA! ALSO INCLUDED IS AN ORIGINAL 1964 COLOR SHAPSHOT PHOTOGRAPH!

Here is one original (NOT a reprint) 1963 Cavern Club Membership Card/Booklet from Liverpool. The Beatles played at the Cavern Club ten times in 1963. The membership card/booklet measures about 4 x 5 inches when fully opened and is sturdy and complete with all eight (8) pages tightly stapled at the spine. This card/booklet is in VG+ condition except for the back cover which has some surface tears on the back where it was preserved in a scrapbook (VG- back cover page.) In addition, there is some wear along the edges, some rust on the inside staples and bluetack marks in the four corners of the back cover. There are no loose or missing pages and no tears.

Also included is a "snapshot" photo of the Beatles that was developed in April 1964. Both items were purchased as one lot at a charity auction at the Edinburgh Playhouse on November 29, 1987. Both belonged to James Bain, former manager of the Edinburgh Playhouse. The "snapshot" photograph measures 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches and shows the Beatles on a beach, presumably taken in Miami during the group's first visit to the U.S. in February 1964. Lightly printed but visible on the reverse of the photo are the words, "Kodachrome Print" and "Made by Kodak Ltd." and "APR 1964" stamped on the back of the photograph. Check out the picture(s) and enjoy!
