"An attendant at Yankee Stadium, New York City, lowers the American flag to half-mast in deep center firld, Aug. 17 in honor of Babe Ruth, whose fabulouscareer in baseball is a legend. Ruth died in New York's memorial hospital, Aug. 16, of cancer of teh throat. His body will lie in state in teh rotuundra of the stadium, "The hous ethat Ruth Built," from 4pm(est) Aug. 17 to 6pm(est) Aug. 18. The mighty sugger's funeral is scheduled to be held on Aug 19 with a requiem mass in St. Patrick's cathedral."
